Why choose Maple – new NDIS Price Guide Updates.
The new NDIS Price Guide introduced on July 1, 2022, saw some significant changes to participant plans, provider rights, and industry expectations across the board.
I don’t think we speak on our own when we say, some of these changes were curveballs, fundamentally changing long-standing elements of contracts between service providers and participants.
Maple Community Services has always prided itself on being client centric, and ensuring we are providing the best possible supports to clients whilst still supporting their need for choice and control. In our minds, and as it should be, clients and participants always come first.
We are proud to say, there are two significant Price Guide Updates that Maple Community Services will not be adopting in this period.
These are:
Transport TO and FROM Shifts.
NDIS Price Guide Update:
- 30 minutes to the participant + 30 minutes returning home + kilometres travelled to and from the participant.
The Maple Community Service Difference:
- Only claim travelling to the participant using the following. (Apart from when we need to give incentives to workers).
- 0 – 37 minutes travelling to the client (FREE OF CHARGE).
- 38 – 52 minutes travelling to the client (only claim 15 min).
- 53+ minutes travelling to the client (only claim 30 min).
Cancelled Shifts.
NDIS Price Guide Update:
- 100% of the fee for cancelled shifts with less than 7 days’ notice provided
The Maple Community Service Difference:
- Only claim for supports when the notice provided is less than 2 days instead of 7.
We hear it every day, across the whole industry – the words ‘care, control, choice, customer centric, participant first approach’. Well here at Maple, we practice what we preach.
